ALEXANDRIA'S MAYOR TOURS THE NEW DIGILINK FACILITY

May 1, 2008

William Euille—the mayor of the city of Alexandria, Va.—visited DigiLink’s expansive new 38,000-square-foot facility at 840 South Pickett St. Accompanied by Christy Blake of the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership, Inc. Euille saw DigiLink’s operations firsthand and took special interest in the company’s environmental initiatives.

“We felt pleased and proud to show Mayor Euille some of our state-of-the-art green technology,” says Michael Wight, DigiLink’s president and chief executive officer. “For example, we use waterless based inks that contain vegetable based oil, with low - volatile organic compounds. That not only helps conserve oil resources, but also helps reduce a major source of pollution in the printing industry.”

The mayor and other guests learned how DigiLink recycles not only paper, but also the aluminum used in producing printing plates. They were also interested in DigiLink’s Chain-of-Custody Certification from the Forest Stewardship Council, which assures that the company respects sustainability and minimizes environmental impact from source to finished product.

As one of the nation’s leading full-service printers, DigiLink moved to facility to consolidate its prepress, printing, and mailing operations under one roof. With room for future expansion, the new facility represents part of Alexandria’s continued economic growth.

WELCOME TO OUR VIRTUAL 'OPEN HOUSE'

March 3, 2008

DigiLink moved to a brand-new, 38,000-square-foot facility at 840 South Pickett St. The new space allows us to speed up turnaround times for you, because it houses our printing, pre-press, finishing, and mailing operations under one roof. Up until the move, we’d complete a printing project at one location and then truck it down the street to a second location for binding and mailing. No more! Now, we’ve streamlined for faster service. And, besides adding two more two-color presses, we’re poised for future growth.
